About Merveilleux

AI-powered product discovery, built for people — not for traffic.

Our story

Merveilleux began with a simple frustration: the internet has more products than ever, yet finding one you actually want has never felt harder. Best-of lists are recycled. Discovery feeds reward ad spend. The truly interesting products — a clever browser extension, a quiet indie gadget, a tool solving a problem you didn't know had a name — stay buried under the noise. We set out to build a different kind of discovery engine. One that learns your taste instead of chasing your clicks. One that treats physical and digital products with the same care. One that explains why something was picked for you, so a recommendation feels personal rather than algorithmic. Today Merveilleux surfaces thousands of products across jewelry, gadgets, mobile apps, browser extensions, software, and home — each matched to a profile you build in minutes. You can save finds into themed collections, share a curated shortlist with your team, vote on what's genuinely cool, and read editorial guides that teach the craft of discovery itself. We are a small team that believes the right product, found at the right moment, can quietly improve a day, a workflow, or a life. That belief is why we obsess over signal quality, why we refuse sponsored placement, and why every feature we ship has to earn its place the same way a product earns a spot in your library.

Our mission

To make product discovery feel personal again. We want every person and every team who uses Merveilleux to find things they genuinely love — faster, with more confidence, and with less noise than the mainstream internet offers. We measure success by the quality of a find, not the volume of a feed.

What we stand for

Discovery over noise

Mainstream rankings are built for traffic. We build for the person in front of the screen. Every recommendation exists because it earned its place against your taste, not because someone paid for a slot.

Curiosity over conformity

The most rewarding finds rarely sit on a best-of list. We go looking in the places most people skip — niche communities, independent makers, early signals — so you discover what the crowd hasn't noticed yet.

People over platforms

Merveilleux is built for solo shoppers and teams who need to align on choices. Shared collections, honest context, and human-readable reasons come first. We are a tool for decisions, not a slot machine for attention.

Privacy as a default

Your taste profile and behavior data belong to you. You can export it, and you can delete it. We don't sell personal data, and we don't build our product by exploiting it.

What we cover

Merveilleux surfaces both physical and digital products in one place, so you are not forced to switch platforms by product type:

  • • Jewelry & accessories
  • • Gadgets & home
  • • Mobile apps
  • • Browser extensions
  • • Software & SaaS
  • • Web apps & tools

How we curate products

Every product on Merveilleux is chosen by a person, not a ranking algorithm. Before anything is listed, our editors pass it through three filters:

  1. 1Usefulness. The product has to solve a real, measurable problem — save time, remove friction, or genuinely delight. Novelty alone is not enough.
  2. 2Honesty. We read the reviews a brand will not promote — the three-star ones, the workarounds, the missing features. Known weaknesses are stated in our editorial reviews, never hidden.
  3. 3Fit. We describe who each product is for — and who it is not for — rather than calling anything "the best." Good fit is specific, not generic.

We do not run paid placements and we do not republish best-seller lists from marketplaces. Brands can apply to be listed through our "List your product" page, but a paid listing never buys a favorable mention — our editorial reviews stay independent of our commercial relationships.

Company & team

Merveilleux is an independent, founder-led company. We are a small, fully remote team covering three crafts: the editorial team researches and writes every product review and guide on this site; the product team builds the discovery engine and the taste-matching profile; and the community team reads your feedback, reviews listing applications, and answers support messages.

We publish under one name — Merveilleux — and stand behind every recommendation on the site. If you disagree with one of our picks, we want to hear it.
